There's lots of buzz around the new hotel in Dublin's docklands near the Grand Canal Theatre. The Marker Hotel is due to open in April 2013 and from the website it looks fab.
It's the rooftop lounge that seems to be getting people excited, and not without reason. The photo below of a classy outside area with views across the city certainly look like something special and is sure to become the place to be seen very quickly.
The Marker Bar with its balance of either cosy fire or outdoor alfresco terrace, is selling itself on its laid back atmosphere, for afternoon lounging or for casual work meetings with bar food of soup, sandwiches and charcuterie plates.
The Brasserie has a very modern look to it and has varied seating arrangements, from booths and banquette seating to a large party table. A menu has not been posted yet but the site describes simple Irish dining and pre-theatre menus, which are sure to be popular with it's proximity to the Grand Canal Theatre.
