Top ten book charts

When you wander into book shops they often have a 'Top Ten Bestsellers' shelf to one side. I am never sure if this is for that book branch/chain or for Irish sales from the Neilsen Book Ireland results, which are not available for free but are published in some of the papers at the weekend - maybe someone can put me straight? As with all top ten charts when we are talking about sales, this does not always reflect the best in fiction writing today but more the most popular fiction.

Anyway, besides all that idle pondering what I do know is what is in the top ten book chart from Eason's which they kindly post on Pinterest every Friday. This Friday's chart, which unfortunately includes children's fiction, was:

1.The Honey Queen by Cathy Kelly
2.Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
3.From This Moment On by Collette Caddle (review coming on this blog soon)
4.Seven Deadly Sins: My Pursuit of Lance Armstrong by David Walsh
5.The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
6.Diary of a Wimpy Kid:The Third Wheel by Jeff Kinney
7.Thick and Thin by Sarah Harte
8.Calm The Soul by The Poor Clares Galway
9.Diary of a Wimpy Kid:Cabin Fever by Jeff Kinney
10.Queenie by Jacqueline Walsh

No. 1 - The Honey Queen by Cathy Kelly     No. 2 - Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
No. 4 - Seven Deadly Sins by David Walsh    No. 8 - The Fault in Our Stars by John Green    No. 6 - Thick and Thin by Sarah Harte
